Donald Trump Pauses Iran Strike for Two Weeks Amid Rising Global Tensions
Iran has said that safe passage through Strait of Hormuz will be possible through coordination with its armed forces. United States President Donald Trump has agreed to suspend his planned strikes on Iran for two weeks. He gave a threat that “a whole civilization will die tonight” if Tehran did not comply with his demands.
On Tuesday evening, in few hours of planned attack, Trump announced on its platform Truth Social about the pause of attack.
The pause in hostilities is part of a condiional ceasefire largely dependent on Iran’s agreement to reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz — a key global oil transit route.
According to reports, Iran has presented a 10-point proposal that has been described as a “workable basis” for further negotiations. This ceasefire is ‘Double-sized’ which means both nations are expected to stop military actions while diplomatic talks continue amid the conflict.
The announcement has already had a noticeable global impact. Oil prices have surged amid prolonged conflict. Financial markets also responded positively, reflecting cautious optimism about a potential easing of tensions.
This action doesn’t mean that war has come to an end, this can be seen as a temporary relief. Experts warn that the situation remains highly volatile. The conflict, which began earlier this year, has already caused significant damage, casualties, and economic disruption across the region.
