Two Indian LPG Vessels Pass Through Strait of Hormuz Amid Global Tensions
Amid the global tension, the two supertankers were signaling Indian ownership instead of a destination but they are likely to reach India which is facing shortage of LPG.
Two Indian flagged vessels named Jag Vasant and Pine gas are seen carrying liquified petroleum gas (LPG) are making their way through Strait of Hormuz, taking a route closely to the Iranian coastline ship tracking.
The Jag Vasant and the Pine Gas, two India-flagged very large gas carriers flagged to India, traveled northwards from the UAE coast toward Iran’s Qeshm and Larak islands early Monday, ship-tracking data show.
Hormuz, a vital waterway, has been all but closed due to US and Israeli strikes on Iran began at the end of February. India has saved a safe passage for some ships.
